Media Fulfillment

FP can help with your media reproduction & conversion needs. Our capabilities include:

Currently FP uses digital master files to burn a DVD master and duplicate DVDs and / or VHS copies from the DVD master. As our client base moves to digital hard drive masters, FP plans to integrate its duplication equipment with this technology.

FP prefers that masters have 30 seconds of Bar and Tone at the beginning, slate with program title, 2 to 5 seconds of black and then the program. FP has master equipment to handle D-Beta, Beta cam SP, D2, 1", ¾", DVC Pro, Mini DV, and DVD (including "enhanced") master formats.

The FP Master Library is temperature and humidity controlled and is secured with limited access. At client request, a second set of duplicating masters can be kept off-site in a different Indianapolis location. When a master is initially received into FP's library, it is bar-coded and evaluated for correct title and program length. The beginning and end of the program is viewed for quality of video and audio. Whenever the master is pulled for an order, the master and the manufacturing order are visually checked and the barcodes on each are scanned to ensure the correct master is pulled for the order. During the scanning process the master is "checked out" to the job and the date, time, and person pulling the master are captured as well as the job number. This data is used for a number of purposes including quality control and tracking master wear. The master is scanned again and "checked in" to the Master Library when the recording process is complete.

Duplication Statistics

The VHS output represents approximately 5-10% of FP normal capacity. FP has vast experience in 1 - 10 unit duplication runs up to runs of 10,000+. In-house DVD duplication equipment allows for quick turn-around of small quantities (1 to 1,000). And, current DVD capacity includes a strategic alliance with two major local DVD replicators for jobs over 1,000 units. As a result, FP has the experience and systems for VHS and DVD requirements in small quantities as well as large quantities.
